Five years ago Nick decided to learn the guitar and this lead to him and a friend playing local gigs, doing covers mainly.

"I was born in a small, insignificant, village near a small, insignificant town. The village had only a few shops, including a Chinese takeaway and of course a Mazda Garage. Not much for some but it was the centre of my world for some considerable time and is the inspiration for many of my songs.
I attended school a few times then, after being asked to leave, I worked as a gardener, then as a manufacturing technician in a factory. Forgetting I was alive, I stayed at the factory for 12 years. I woke up one morning at the age of thirty and, having found my first grey hair (up my left nostril) decided to make a few life changes." Nick.
Martin and Ian came to see Nick perform and gave him the chance to jam with them. Things worked out rather well and by the summer they were gigging.
"If Billy Wears Dresses were the Starship Enterprise then Martin would be Scotty, his technical expertise knows no bounds and can be often heard shouting "The PA cannee tek anymure!" He is producing our album and fortunately doesn't have Phil Specter's haircut or criminal record.
Whilst being Britain's (tomorrow the world's!) laziest drummer, Ian's herbal personality injects a real sense of lethargy into the band. Few drummers pull a girl at a gig, even fewer have the same one by the next rehearsal. Ian's smiling "drum face" is sure to be on a t-shirt soon." Paul.
Paul Moss joined us on bass at the end of 2006.
"Paul has brought a great deal of experience, inspiration and talent to the band and his presence humbles me. In terms of the band, it feels like - the whole has become greater than the sum of its parts". Nick.
Billy Wears Dresses now play so regularly they have a reputation for turning up at the opening of an Amazon package. Pubs, Clubs and Bah Mitzvahs. Sell out nights at The Central Theatre in Sittingbourne have led to some festival gigs this summer - watch this space for details!
