KMFM - The Finals

What an incredible week.

After the frolics of the Bullington Cross Inn, Nick and I made a radio appearance on KMFM and performed a short set at The Orange Street Club in Canterbury.

We also have a podcast at http://billywearsdresses.mypodcast.com/

Friday we played at the KMFM Battle of The Bands final at the Dockside Outlet Centre on the 31st of August.
Representing Ashford was ShyChlo, for Thanet it was Billy Wears Dresses, Medway was Billy Rebel and Canterbury had Hey Zeus! Representing West Kent was The Belgrave Scandal and for Shepway it was The Joneses.

Cutting to the chorus, the winners were Billy Rebel, a really great live band. Well done to them and we wish them all the best. Hopefully we'll be gigging with them at some point in the near future, an evening of Billy!

It was great to have such a diverse line up and all the bands did themselves proud.
For us, the most important thing, we made some new friends and won some new fans.

Here it comes, the long list of thanks:-
KMFM - A fantastic event, so well organised.
The Stage Crew - great sound guys, cheers!
Orangjeboom - for providing the worlds smallest beer tent.
The Lame Cat - for a great website that's XHTML 1.0 and CSS compliant.
Sue - for the Billy Handkerchiefs and T Shirt sales.
Sharon - for sending my Bacardi Shares through the roof.
Lisa - for organising our trip to Mexico to get VW camper vans.
and last but not least (drum roll please Ian)
All our supporters who came along to support us, we love you all.
If I've forgotten anyone, please make sure you try harder in future to get our attention.

I'd also like to Thank Nick, Martin and Ian for being fab mates.

Pass me a hankie Sue, I've got something in my eye.........

Paul
