Billy Wears Dresses sign to Formant Records

This is one Billy Rumour that is 100% official - Billy Wears Dresses are signing to Formant Records.

The band go into the studio on the 3rd of December to record their first single which will be released in the early spring of 2008.

It all came about after the band were spotted by Formant Records owner Steve Melhuish at the KMFM’s Battle of the Bands final in August.

Steve was impressed with what he saw “I don’t think I’ve seen 4 guys enjoying themselves so much … just having a great time”.

The plan is to record the ever-so-popular “Derek Don’t Deliver” along with 2 as yet unheard tracks in support.

We are all very excited about this great opportunity and look forward to working with everyone at Formant Records.

Lead singer Nick Spink is said to be already planning his future rehabilitation “If people don’t but this EP I will be coming at them like a tornado and wringing them out like a flannel!”
